Today I'll tell you
1)what is mind palace & how it is used
2)How to create your very own mind palace
Well the answer is:-
A Memory Palace or a Mind Palace is an imaginary location in your mind where you can store mnemonic images. The most common type of memory palace involves making a journey through a place you know well, like a building or town. Along that journey there are specific locations that you always visit in the same order.
Or
Mind palace is a process of remembering and storing words in your mind in a specific place like house or a location
It was made famous by many people but my favorite one is SHERLOCK, after all he inspired me to write blogs(big encouragement).
In BBC's Sherlock show, Sherlock uses his mind palace to keep his data , and by data I mean facts after deduction,passwords,numbers and many more.
To enter there..he would simply walk around his palace , choose a pegg(a point or an obstacle) add the thing to it like his address 221B .
It is difficult to do it but with practice you too can have a sharp memory.(Yes! You Really Can)
How to have your very own mind palace
To create your very own mind palace first
*Go to place where you would not get any distraction
*Keep calm and have mindfulness(remember the previous blog) ...now think of a place , it doesn't need to be familiar
1)Now if you choosing
Your own house then read below(If not swipe down)
*Have a closer look to everything
*Choose a thing like table,desk or else ....now that is your pegg.Anything you want to remember just add it to a pegg.Do it with every room of yours..... for beginner choose 2-3 peggs and once you mastered you can create many (I have 7 peggs in each room)
*IMPORTANT if you want to remember something like "call Margret 10 am"....you will first go through your palace ...while going through look at every peggs and what they consist of ....regular using would help you to memorize quickly
2)If you choose a unfamiliar one
*That's what I gave done ....not necessary to remember a familiar place.....if you regularly use it you can remember it quickly,after all you have created it ...now walk through it carefully... check everything twice-thrice
once done
*add a pegg(choose a thing, [TIP:- SHOULD BE BIG] it could be a deck,a dustbin or else
*now when you come to remember it ,look at all your peggs and your surroundings ....it will help you to memorize way faster than you thought
*remember, regularly use it or it will vanish like forgetting what you ate yesterday(yeah...like that)
NOTE:-if it is a place from game ....play it daily...it will hepl you to memorize quickly also you would have highscores
